About Goodyear Auto Service

Goodyear Auto Service Centers are full-service tire and automotive repair stores wholly owned and operated by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

Goodyear Auto Service is one of the tire shops listed in Akron, Ohio. The business is registered at 3453 S Arlington Rd, Akron, OH 44312; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as auto repair shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–7 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. More information is available on its website, goodyear.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 830 reviews, which is a strong result for a tire shop in Akron and suggests consistent service.

Akron is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Akron follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

30 days ago I had an oil change and tire rotation. It seems that the technician may have torqued the lug nuts too tight and I was unable to break them free even with a breaker bar. I called the shop to tell them and Frank, the service manager, said he was getting ready to leave for the day but would wait for me to get there before he left. Once I got there he jumped right on it and tied to break the lug nuts loose. Even after using a torch and various tools he was unable to break it free. We agreed to leave it over night and they would tackle it the following morning. Sure enough they started right in on it in the morning and had to remove the rotor and replace a stud. They put it all back together and I was down the road later that morning. My compliment is for the effort that Frank made during his β€œoff hours” and the assistance he got from the gentleman working the front desk. I believe some of the lug nuts were torqued too much but they listened to my concern and fixed it to my satisfaction without a charge. Well done to the Green crew for the fix.

I stopped in on Sunday to see if they could repair my tire that had a nail in it. Mark and the team got me in right away, was able to fix the tire, and get me back on my way. Easy and quick. Thanks mark and team.

I wandered into this location approximately 40 minutes before closing time because my tire was leaking very bad from a screw that had just punctured it. I was so relieved that it held enough air to make it to their shop. They informed me a tire patch was not an option in the timeframe before closing. Which left me stranded as my tire was now very low. I worked as a technician for almost a decade at a dealer, I know for a fact that tire patch would have been easily completed in 40 minutes. Newer vehicle and the tire is only a few months old, it was a clean hole in a safe area for a patch. I left and went across the street to Serra Honda, who took great care of me.

My experience with Goodyear Arlington Rd. I went in to get 2 new front tires. Was told I needed a tiered replaced agreed to this. Was told I needed front break pad and rotors I asked them to replace pads only they said my rotors we to far gone. I declined to because I new they we in perfect condition and we replaced less than a year ago. Asked them to replace a fuse and when they we done and handing my the keys they said I would have to go to and RV dealer for that. I don't drive an RV. I replaced it myself in 2 minutes it was just a taillight fuse I also got a full service oil change they did not service any fluids but oil. When I got home I noticed my left rear wheel had a broken stud and no luge nut. I also requested all 4 tires be balanced. They only balanced the front. 5 days ago I mentioned i wanted to speak to the district manager about my experience. They messaged Doug Smeltzer the DM. he has not had the decency to contact me. I'm so surprised that Goodyear is performing this way. Almost forgot I waited in-store they said roughly 1 to 2 hours. I was there close to 5 hours. I just didn't expect this from Goodyear. To update my review my front end alignment has gone out

We blew out two tires on our trailer, 15 minutes before this place was closing. Derek and Jeff were so accommodating. Not only did they give us 2 of the trailer tires they were purchasing for their own trailer, they gave us a great deal, they changed both tires on the spot and we were back on the road in 30 minutes! Amazing!!! We are so grateful!! This place is between our home and our campsite, but we will for sure do business with them again in the future. We will drive the extra miles for their excellent service ⭐️
